Insulating firebricks (IFBs) are lighter, easier to form, and provide lower thermal conductivity than fireclay brick for use in temperatures up to 3300°F (1815°C).

High alumina brick containing 90% - 99.8% alumina provide excellent abrasion, chemical, and atmospheric resistance for use in temperatures up to 3400°F (1870°C).
